What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a state of mind we naturally do without thinking. When we are relaxed the subconscious mind communicates with the conscious mind and we can find solutions in order to change unwanted habits, or to feel more positive about whatever our aims are. The Hypnotherapist will carefully suggest positive thoughts in various ways to help make the changes you require.

A trance state can vary from being light or a very deep sense of relaxation but you do not lose consciousness and you have an awareness of the sounds of everyday life around you.

Hypnosis is like daydreaming and when you come back out of a trance you will feel revitalised, relaxed and ready for the rest of the day with a positive step forward.

What is NLP?

NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programming simply means the nervous system a basic translation, a ‘language of our own programming’. The Hypnotherapist aims to breakdown old patterns that are created, therefore bringing an awareness to enable you to change habits of a lifetime. These changes can be made more easily than you may have thought possible but only if you are ready to do so.

Do I have control?

As already mentioned there is no need to worry about not being in control because you are aware of the outside world. You are able to come out of a trance if you wish.

If you have ever experienced meditation it may seem very similar. It is comparable to when we are in a relaxed or in a concentrated state of mind or like daydreaming, sense of well-being or being in harmony.

How many hynotherapy sessions will I need?

The sessions you require may depend on how many issues you wish to change. Like any therapy it is possible to make changes in one session but perhaps more are needed to resolve any other underlying causes. Or you can simply learn to relax more and enjoy the experience.
