CASE STUDIESV.N. 27 years old, back op 7 years ago Her discs in the lumbar region were removed and had now collapsed which was starting to affect the bowel, now waiting for an MRI scan at Southampton. Circulation in the left leg was worse than the right, coldness in the feet and buttocks. After the 1st session she slept better, drank more water and also reduced smoking. 4th session her circulation had improved and bowels were nearly back to normal. 5th session more focused and energetic and everything else improved. The 6th session she was much better overall. When she came back a few months later after the scan they found that she didnt need an operation. Also the hypnotherapy stop smoking session was also successful. S.B. 47 years old, coccyx, intermittent pain for 25 years and waking her up at night After four sessions her coccyx pain has disappeared. J.P. 18 years old, suffering excessive under arm perspiration, not at home but in unfamiliar situations. Doctor gave her the pill for a month incase it was hormonal. And bowel problem every day 2-3 x and blood in stools, recommended her to see GP and specialist if this persists. 1st session I noticed that her back was excessively tight. On her follow-up she said that her bowels were more normal and not sweating as bad, and she made an appointment for a blood test. 4th session left arm had a heavy feeling and spreading down into leg, this used to happen for a period of a few months over a year ago and had increased recently, bowels getting better, very little blood and sweating not happening so much. 5th session about the same, but waking up earlier and has more energy. 6th session, blood test was normal, bowels normal, not sweating. 7th session, sweating a little during exam, bowels good, back tension improved. 8th session, she went through exams hardly sweating. J.B. 44 years old, right knee, crucial and patella ligament problem after a fall, waiting for an op. She had water on this knee 10 years prior to this and on anti-inflammatory tablets. 1st session she could hardly bend her leg and difficulty getting up the stairs. Immediately afterwards she was able to bend the knee very slightly and left able to go down the stairs much better. 3rd session she could kneel down for the first time and had more mobility, she saw the specialist, and asked that as Shiatsu was helping she wanted to put off the op for a while, the specialist gave her only 3 weeks to improve. 4th session she was still getting better, pain in patella ligament, but able to lie down more comfortably in bed. 5th more flexible and continued to improve with each session until the final 12th, she saw the specialist and did not have to have an operation, and the original complaint of water on the knee had improved too. J.T. 54 years old, right knee problem, medial crucial ligament, she had collapsed to the floor and was sent to A & E, and was waiting for an MRI scan and operation, on pain killers. 1st session I noticed her right leg was shorter. 2nd session she said she was great for 5 days but a bit painful since, but she stopped the pain killers, and slept normally. 3rd session pain felt below knee but not in the medial crucial ligament. 4th session had walked a lot on holiday, used a stick, slight dull pain in knee, but only took two paracetamol. Continued to improve but with occasional dull pain. 7th session, her result of the MRI scan was a complex tear in the medial/posterior cartilage and was given a year to see how it is. She continued to improve and had only slight pain if over doing things no operation required as no pain anymore on the 10th session. |
